Toddler Cheerleading FAQs
Is my 3 year old too young for cheerleading?
Not at all! Our Beginner Berries program is specifically designed for children ages 4-6. We use age-appropriate activities that focus on fun, basic motor skills, coordination, and social interaction. Our trained coaches understand how toddlers learn and keep classes engaging with music, games, and positive reinforcement.
What do toddlers learn in cheerleading class?
Toddlers learn fundamental movement skills including basic arm motions, jumps, coordination exercises, and rhythm. Beyond physical skills, they develop social skills like listening, following directions, taking turns, and working as part of a team. Most importantly, they build confidence and have fun!
How long are toddler cheerleading classes?
Our Beginner Berries classes are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour, which is the perfect length for toddler attention spans. Classes are structured with variety to keep young athletes engaged throughout the session.
Do toddlers compete in cheerleading?
Our Beginner Berries program focuses on skill development and fun rather than competition. Toddlers may perform at showcases or exhibitions, but there's no pressure to compete. As children grow and develop skills, they can transition to our competitive programs when they're ready.
What should my toddler wear to cheerleading class?
Toddlers should wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows free movement - like leggings or shorts and a fitted t-shirt. Tennis shoes with good support are required. Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail. We recommend avoiding loose jewelry or accessories.
