Does my child need cheerleading experience to join Rec?

No. LVA Recreational Cheer is open to athletes of all experience levels, including complete beginners. Athletes who already have skills are welcome too and will keep building on them.

When does the Rec season run?

The Rec season runs October through May, an 8-month commitment. The first practice is Saturday, October 3, 2026.

When are Rec practices?

Rec practices are Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at our gym at 6175 South Edmond Street in Las Vegas.

What ages can join Rec Cheer?

LVA Recreational Cheer is open to athletes with birth years 2009 through 2020.

How is Rec different from All Star teams?

Rec athletes train like All Star competitors and perform a full competition routine, but at a lower cost and with a single weekly practice on Saturdays. It is designed for families who want the All Star experience with a smaller time and financial commitment.
